(Watching the debate) Wee Boy: wait why are they shaking hands? Aren’t they supposed to argue?
Wee Boy: so Dave which one are you cheering for? Obama or Romney?
Me: oh I dunno. I like some things each of them say and don’t like other things they say. How about you?
Wee Boy: well, I am cheering for Romney. I guess the issue I agree with him on is that he supports a better future. I think that’s a pretty good idea.
Me: so I hear you may be interest in Tae Kwan Do?
Wee Boy: eh, maybe. I might like to try it.
Me: cool! We can see what classes are available at the gym. The about karate is that you have to be responsible with what they teach you
Wee Boy: what do you mean?
Me: well you can’t use Tae Kwan Do as an excuse to go pick fights with kids. We’d have to take you out of the program if that happens
Wee Boy: oh don’t worry Dave, I already know how to fight kids, I don’t need Tae Kwan Do for that, I just like the belts and the uniform.
Wee Boy: Dave, do you think it’s abnormal for a human to run on all fours like an animal
Me: yes
Wee Boy: well, this may shock you, but I’ve DONE that before. What do you think about that?
Marley: Matthew do you like blonde or brunette girls?
Wee Boy: I don’t really care about that
Marley: That’s good! I hope you learn to like girls for who they are because looks aren’t everything. Girls come in all different shapes and sizes and you have to find ones that are nice people.
Wee Boy: hmm…well actually, if you put it like that, I do like it better if they are blonde.
Wee Boy: Dave my mom loves you very much! You know what? I bet you could gain weight and she would still love you!
Me: so you excited for your sleepover this weekend?
Wee Boy: oh yeah. You bet
Me: cool! Yeah it’ll be fun!
Wee Boy: yeah. I think it might be a little weird though
Me: oh yeah why’s that?
Wee Boy: well at Timmy’s house they vote for Obama and my grandpa says we all vote for Romney.
Me: well in this house we vote all kinds of ways. But that won’t matter to you.
Wee Boy: I dunno. But I’ll let you know if they do anything weird

Wee Boy: So look at this girl in my Ripley’s Believe It Or Not book has hair that is 22ft long.
Me: wow that’s crazy
Wee Boy: that’s right. Dave I’m not an expert, but I would say a girl like that is hard to come by.
